Safeguarding 1 – Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Course.
This course educates participants on the implementation of best practice in protecting the welfare of children involved in sport.
If you are a General or Junior Committee member, a TY participant hoping to work as Assistant Sailing Instructors Summer 2020, a member of the Sailability group, a member of NYC staff or a Junior Section parent assisting with organisation and safety of junior programmes at NYC we encourage you to complete this course.
This course will be run in the JB room on Monday 9th March (Time: registration 18:00 course 18:30-21:30)
The cost is €15pp. Places are limited to 20 participants! As demand is higher than supply, there will be NO REFUNDING for any booking cancellation!
PLEASE NOTE: due to the sensitive nature of some of the themes covered by the course, participants MUST BE 16y OR OLDER! No under 16y may apply.
More over, if under 18y a parental consent form must be completed and signed by parents / guardians and handed to Johanne on the day before the course begins.
