Our TY courses, delivered by Irish Offshore Sailing, are the RYA Marine First Aid Courses. They are valid for all Irish Sailing Dinghy instructors, and are valid for 3 years.
The course includes topics such as hypothermia, drowning, cold water immersion, vhf radio for medical emergencies and helicopter rescue, which defines it as a marine first aid course.
The course starts at 0930 and finishes at 1600 with a break for lunch.
Students need to come in comfortable clothing with a pen and paper for notes.
Certs are given at the end of the course, students should lay the cert down at the end of the course, and take a photo of it and email it to themselves. The packs with first aid books include the certs therefore replacement certs cost approx âŹ35. Hence students need to keep them safely.
The 4 courses will take place in the National Yacht Club in the JB room downstairs.

The course costs âŹ125.
Parents need to note:
– The booking is non-refundable
– A change of date is only possible if another student can take your place on the course on the course you are booked on, this needs to be arranged through the National Yacht Club. We cannot accommodate no shows on the day, for any reason.
