New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular in Dun Laoghaire – travel advice and parking restrictions

Dear Members,

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council is planning on a spectacular fireworks display on 31st December which inevitably will result in many people trying to access the harbour and surrounding area.

We have just received a Public Information Notice (PIN) with travel and parking advice for this event and invite you to carefully read this practical information if you intend coming to the Club or to Dun Laoghaire.

Quiz update

The second quiz of the season took place on Wednesday evening last (1 November) with a new record 22 teams participating. Appropriately, on the anniversary of the passing of their team mate, T.B.M. won with an excellent final round to take them clear of the pack. Wizard came second, with Harmerang finishing in third place. The Corner Boys were like fish out of water, or at least like boys out of their corner, and came down the field. It was a welcome back for Rudderless and the Chancellors.

As the season warms up, the overall leaderboard (CLICK HERE) is beginning to take shape.

The next quiz takes place on 15 November at 8.00pm sharp! See you all there.

Dates/time: Classes will run on Wednesdays, 7-8 pm

Oct-Nov ‘23 dates: 25^th Oct, 1^st, 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd, 29^thNov 2023

Note: Please book asap, as places will be awarded on a first come first served basis. Max class size 16.

Cost: €90 for the 6 week block (i.e €15/class – part blocks will not be sold – however if you miss the start and want to join please email Rachel on rachel@rbpt.ie, to check availability)
