Enhanced International Certificate of Competency (I.C.C.) Courses
The ICC (more details here) is now required in many countries to charter a yacht.
Theory courses for the International Certificate of Competency  will be held in the National Yacht Club during the coming winter months.
Two courses will be run ashore in the Clubhouse in Autumn / Winter 2018/2019.
Each Theory Course will consist of 5 Monday evenings tuition and one evening written tests.
The course times will be from 1915 hrs to 2145 hrs each Monday.
Course One:Â
4th, 11th, 18th and 25th November & 2nd and 9th of December 2019
Course Two:Â
20th, 27th January & 3rd, 10th , 17th and 24th of February 2020
A minimum of 4 students are required for course to go ahead with a maximum of 12 students to insure quality of tuition and sufficient one to one time. Â
The Club will supply Plotters, Dividers and Practice Charts for use during the Course.
At Course end these should be returned to the Club.
The Club will organise the ICC afloat practical tests soon after Club boat launch date in April.

Please note, these costs do not include the ISA Cert Issuing fee charged by them as follows:

â Non-members (includes free membership of ISA): âŹ96
On completion of the theory test and the on the water practical test, successful candidates will be issued a âpassâ paper by an âIrish Sailingâ (IS /Â www.sailing.ie) approved examiner. They should them present this paper to the IS with the appropriate fee as described above to be issued their International Certificate of Competency
The course is open to all adult categories of NYC members, non-members, their partners and friends.
