Irish Sailing Pathfinder Women at the Helm Regatta
The National Yacht Club is delighted to have been selected to host the inaugural 'Irish Sailing Pathfinder Women at the Helm Regatta' on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August 2019.
The NYC has been at the forefront of developing Women on the Water initiatives and boast a very active group of ladies racing regularly on our dinghies and sportboats Club boats.
The purpose of this event is to give all sailing women their own annual sailing goal and to set and encourage a move from shore to boat, crew to helm or club event to regional event.

Update on the Volvo Dun Laoghaire regatta 2019
Following a very successful four-day regatta last weekend , five NYC boats finished at the top of their fleets. Vincent Farrell and team won the Coastal Echo, John and Neil Masterson won the Shipman class, Neil OâToole won the Moth Class. The Ruffian Alias co owned by Commodore Martin McCarthy won the Ruffian title and David Gorman and Chris Doorly won the Flying Fifteen class. In addition, the pair were presented with the Dubarry Boot as winners of the Boat of the week. 498 Boats took part in the regatta with over 2,500 sailors participating.

Wayfarers Ladies DBSC Racing Squad – Tuesdays Series III
The Club has entered 3 of its Club Wayfarers to race in Dublin Bay on Tuesday evenings.
Registrations are now open for the last series of 7 Tuesday evenings.

Subaru Flying Fifteen Worlds – Call for Volunteers
CALLING ON VOLUNTEERS FOR MEASUREMENT!
The National Yacht Club is hosting the Flying Fifteen World Championships from 1st to 13th September.
We expect up to 86 boats to enter the worlds and they all need to be measured and inspected for Class Rules compliance over 3 days: Saturday 31st August, Sunday 1st September and Thursday 5th September (day between the pre-Worlds and Worlds)
This is a fun way to get involved with this amazing event and to meet all the visitors coming from as far away as Hong Kong!
No previous experience as a measurer required as Class measurers will supervise the various stations (Control Desk / Weigh Station / Spars Inspection / Sails Measurement / Safety Checks)

Sunday Funday is back…!
Back by popular demand, we are now running a family fun day every Sunday from 1:30pm to 5:00pm.
Come along and try out our sailing boats, or why not take out a SUP or kayak!
We are also working on pricing, terms and conditions and skipper ability assessment procedure to release our new Club J80s to competent members for Funday Sundays...So not quite there yet but hopefully this will soon be an option as well...

Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta – 8 weeks to start
With 8 Weeks to go to the first gun off Dun Laoghaireâs famous harbour for the 8th edition of the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta, 420 boats are already entered across 36 Classes, and more than half the entries are visiting craft.
