Covid-19 compliant boating activities in NYC – Members’ Survey

Covid-19 compliant boating activities in NYC – Members’ Survey

Dear Members,

We are all well aware of the restrictions imposed by the 'new normal' on our boating activities. However, while we await clarification on the lifting of restrictions in upcoming phases, there are already many compliant boating activities that can take place out of your Club!

Indeed, the NYC is well equipped to provide fun & safe boating activities for all age groups and interests ranging from family match racing on our Elliotts to Kayak outings or cruises in (safe and distant) company!

In order for us to best plan, prepare and 'gear up' for family oriented activities this season, we invite members to fill this quick online survey which will help us deliver the best possible services at the most appropriate times.

The 2023 SB20 World Championships will be hosted in Ireland by the Club.
The successful bid for the event, chaired by Justin Burke, will see the World Championships return to the Club in September 2023, 15 years after the inaugural world championships were sailed here in 2008.

The plan for 2023 is to achieve the largest ever number of nations attending an SB20 World Championships, according to SB20 Irish President John Malone.

Support Your Club! Harry Hermon, CEO Irish Sailing

Since the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) the situation has quickly evolved, and now we are realising the global perspective of the pandemic. Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of communication and information shared within the Irish sailing community, and I would like to thank all Irish Sailing members for your positive response to restrictions as they were imposed with ever-increasing severity week by week. It is critical however that our clubs are ready to open their doors for sailing as soon as restrictions start to be lifted, and in order for them to be able to do that they need your support.
