The National Yacht Club was delighted to host the 2.4mR National Championships over the weekend, with competitors enjoying superb sailing conditions and blistering sunshine for most of the event.

After seven closely contested races, Megan Pascoe of Frensham Pond Sailing Club—former World Champion—claimed first place. Her father, Martin Pascoe, secured second place sailing one of NYC’s own boats, while Bruce Hill took third.

Paddy Hassett, who finished fifth overall, was awarded the title of Irish National Champion.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Race Officer Michael Conway and his dedicated race committee for their exceptional work throughout the weekend.

As Susan Spain mentioned during the prizegiving, we very much look forward to welcoming the 2.4mR fleet back to NYC for this biennial event in 2027.
