Optimist Nationals (Howth) - NYC Pre-Event Main fleet coaching.
The club intends to provide two days of pre-event coaching ahead of the Optimist Nationals, run from Howth Yacht Club, for Main Fleet sailors.
- Monday 12th August and Tuesday 13th August.
- Cost - âŹ70
- Times 9:30am-4:30pm
- Max number 8
- Please register by Tuesday 6th August
- This program is not open to sailors in the âRegatta Fleetâ, as they receive coaching from IODAI.

Irish Sailing Pathfinder Women at the Helm Regatta – 17th & 18th August
The National Yacht Club are delighted to host the first Irish Sailing Pathfinder Women at the Helm regatta, taking place on 17 & 18 August. Around the country, women have been racing against each other for decades but this is the first time a regatta will be held at a national level. The Irish Sailing Pathfinder Women at the Helm regatta is an opportunity for women to set a new goal and encourage a move from shore to boat, crew to helm or club event to regional event. Female helms currently stand out - letâs change that and encourage women to take the helm.

Prize giving photos of the NYC Davyâs Junior Regatta 2019
The NYC Davy Junior Regatta was held last week with blue skies, good winds and over 120 participants. After racing, there was fun atmosphere as junior sailors from across the clubs gathered to enjoy snacks including the ever popular Teddy's ice cream - which was a hit with sailors and instructors alike!
The celebrations continued into the night as the juniors sailors held a disco in the JB Room.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out and Davy for kindly supporting the event.
NYC Junior Regatta Results 2019
The NYC Junior Regatta was a great success we had a beautiful sunny day for racing, and with over a 120 kids entered, there was great excitement and plenty of fun had.
After the race there was chicken and chips for all, and teddy's ice cream. Followed by the prize given, and a disco later on.

Registrations are now open to join our Ladies Racing Squad for racing in Dublin Bay on Tuesday nights and Thursday nights!!!
Tuesday J80 Series 3 starts July 30th . Thursday J80 Series 3 starts July 25th.
As you all probably know, the NYC has changed its fleet of 1720s to a newer fleet of more manageable J80s, promising fantastic fun for all Ladies involved.
All boats will be fully coached for this programme...
