About the event

The first stone for the large harbour at Dun Laoghaire was laid in May 1817 and this year has seen a number of events to commemorate this bicentenary. This joint presentation between Heritage society and Civil division introduces the background to the building of the harbour, before examining how the harbour was constructed and how works progressed to the completion of the piers more than a quarter of a century later.

About the speaker
