Dear Members,
There’s plenty of excitement around the Club at the moment, with the ILCA World Championships just around the corner — and our new Committee Boat has successfully completed its trial runs and is now ready to get to work!
This is a really exciting addition to the National Yacht Club and will play a major role in our racing programme for years to come. It will help us host major national and international events, support our junior and adult sailing programmes, and keep us firmly at the forefront of race management.
Thanks to the fantastic generosity of our members, particularly our Life Members, we have already raised a substantial amount towards the boat. But we’re not quite over the finish line yet! So, if you’ve been thinking about making a contribution, now is the time to jump aboard.
Every donation, big or small, will help us get this project safely into harbour!
Perhaps you would like to encourage all crew on your boat to come together and make a donation on behalf of your boat (or even your fleet) Members (and or boats/fleets) who donate and do not request anonymity will be recognised on a special plaque in the Club and aboard the boat. Donors will also have the opportunity to have a say in the naming of our new Committee Boat — so there’s even a little bit of glory involved!
This boat is more than just a boat. It represents our ambition, our commitment to great racing and, most importantly, our investment in the future of sailing at the National Yacht Club.
So please help us give it the final push it needs.
Every contribution counts, and we’d love to have you on board! Thank you, as always, for your wonderful support and generosity.
Kind regards,
Rosemary Cadogan
Commodore
