This week, two of our Flying Fifteen crews set-off via London and Perth for the Flying Fifteen Worlds and pre-Worlds in Fremantle, Australia. It promises to be a great event at the location chosen for Australia’s defence of the America’s Cup in 1987.
Pictured are Alan Green, John Lavery, Conor O’Regan, Nicki Matthews and Niall Meagher at a small presentation to ensure the crews would be fully branded-up in NYC gear! Hugh Meagher will also be travelling and will participate the pre-Worlds. They are continuing the tradition of our FF sailors travelling to the Worlds, even when held in the Southern Hemisphere. Niall has previously been involved in the organisation of FF Worlds, having chaired the organising committee of the FF Worlds when they were held in the NYC in 2019.
Both crews have been training hard all winter for this event, often with the support of other NYC Fifteen sailors as well as NYC Coach Thomas Chaix.
