Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions
- The race is open to all Yachts & Dinghies that are owned or helmed by a member of the NYC.
- The Organising Authority is the NYC, and the race will be governed by the “rules” as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RSS)
- The start and finish will be from the NYC Committee Boat flying the NYC burgee and using the DBSC Thursday Red Fleet Course Card. Platonic courses may be used. Course details and other communications will be announced on VHF channel 69.
- Races will be started using Rule 26 with the warning signal 5 minutes before the start.
- Prizes shall be awarded for line honours, class winners and on handicap at the complete discretion of the NYC Sailing Committee.
Entry is free of charge and can be made online at www.nyc.ie. A collection in aid of the RNLI will be made after the race.
