Covid 19 – UPDATE

Mar 12, 2020 | Home Page Featured

Dear Fellow Members,

The safety of the Staff and Members of the Club remain the top priority of the Committee and Management of the Club.  In line with the directive last night from the Dept of Health, we will be closing catering in the Club, effective immediately.   This includes the bar and the closure will continue for the foreseeable future.

For Clarity, there will be access to boats on the platform and the boathouse will be open, organised sailing activities are curtailed in line with Irish Sailing guidelines, (see link below) and in compliance with the Covid19 regulations.  The office will remain in operation and can be contacted by phone or Email only (01 280 5725 / secretary@nyc.ie.  Access to the Club will be by the front side entrance, as the upstairs and the front door will be locked.

The welfare of our staff is a top priority and we are doing everything we can to minimize the impact of the closure on them.  We will be utilising suitably trained staff members to affect Spring Cleaning and ramping up of the winter club maintenance program.

We would encourage members to keep in touch with fellow club members, especially those who might benefit from assistance with shopping, reading material and other items.  We will respond as necessary to the evolving situation and we hope that Lift In can proceed on April 11th.

Stay safe and look out for your neighbours and fellow members.
