Calling all Green Volunteers Sunday 24th June

Jun 19, 2018 | Sailing

As the Club prepares for the 2018 Davy Regatta this Saturday it is also has important plans to help improve the waters we sail in every week.

This year we are asking as many members and their kids to come down this Sunday 24th June and join us for a bit of fun on the water. The plan is, weather permitting, to get as many club kayaks, SUP and ribs on the water to collect the floating debris that clogs up our harbour. The harbour company are providing a trash boat for us to fill.

This is a really important initiative that we, and everyone that visits Dun Laoghaire will benefit from. So all those tired and weary from sailing and partying from the day before, come on down and clear the head this Sunday and help clean up our seas.

Hopefully afterwards we will get to celebrate Annalise’s finishing the Volvo Ocean Race on Turn the Tide on Plastic which is due to finish in the Hague on Sunday.
