At the National YC, We run Autumn coached training on Saturday mornings from 9.30 until approximately 12.00. Good atmosphere, enjoyment and learning are the main aims and often debrief happens back up in the club bar with a welcomed and deserved post sailing lunch.
The session is Open to ALL LEVELS of ability and usually run on ILCAs and RS Aeros… Other dinghies are welcomed to join as most drills happen on short courses promoting boat handling skills.
Club dinghies may be chartered (we have two ILCAs and a few Toppers) for members only.
As the number of coaches and the groupings (if any) directly depends on participation, it is important to get sailors commitment.

There are 4 prices structure to suit various schedules:
- Full programme: 300 EUR for up to 14 sessions (every Saturday from 6th sept till 13 Dec with exception of Oct 11th – excellent value even if you miss a few Saturdays and peace of mind (no need to remember to sign up for individual sessions)
- 6th sept till 4th Oct: 150EUR for up to 5 sessions (focused on less experienced sailors)
- 18th of Oct till Dec 13th: up to 9 sessions: 220EUR
- A per session fee of 40EUR is also possible with booking at least 48 hours before session to validate number of participants on the day.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- If paying by session the payment MUST BE completed on the Thursday prior to the session by lunch time. No exceptions as it is important to ensure the appropriate ratios coach-sailors. Signing up to the full programme is very worthwhile for peace of mind and a significant better value even if a few sessions are missed due to various personal constraints
- To facilitate the ANNUAL LIFT IN, Dinghies must be removed from the NYC platform on Oct 5th at the lastest and can return for training on Oct 18th. THERE WILL BE NO TRAINING on OCT 11th
- In case of adverse weather, shorebased workshops will be offered if demand – the coach on the day will adjust to the group requests.
