Quiz News
We have new kids on the block! Or at least new young professionals on the block with Teamtastic gaining a maiden victory in the quiz on Wednesday 13 November. During a terrific tussle that saw 13 teams within 2 points of the lead at halfway, Teamtastic had a fantastic middle round and saw off Wild Cards and T.B.M. in the closing stages to take the honours.
Following the re-emergence of the Corner Boys dinosaur previously, the overall Leaderboard (below) has a very open feel to it at this early stage of the season. T.B.M. currently occupy top spot, followed closely by Teamtastic and The Dirty Ruckers with reigning champions Wizard close enough in 4th.
Next quiz will be held on the 27th November at 8pm sharp! All are welcome.

Expansion of the Green Ocean Dublin Bay Oyster Re-introduction Project
The Green Ocean Oyster Re-introduction Project in Dublin Bay, launched in November 2023, is a marine restoration initiative which is restoring native oysters to Dublin Bay. Oysters are natural âclimate championsâ, improving water quality and marine biodiversity.
Using innovative "oyster gardening" techniques, oysters are suspended in baskets from marina walkways at multiple locations around Dublin Bay. These oysters naturally filter the water, helping to reduce excess nutrients and pollutants. Their presence also supports biodiversity by encouraging the growth of seagrass and seaweed, which provide vital spawning grounds for fish and their predators as well as being a important carbon sink by sequestering carbon.
Following the successful completion of phase 1, which saw strong oyster growth and reproduction, over the past year, the project is entering phase 2 in October 2024. This phase is expanding the initiative to 120 oyster baskets across six locations in the Bay.
