J80 Sailing is back!

J80 Sailing is back!

We’re delighted to announce that Women on the Water J80 crews are back on the water – starting next Tuesday 25th May to prepare for DBSC racing which is planned to run until 25th September. Sailing will be on Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons, in two series of 9 weeks each. There’s plenty of interest already so anyone who wants to sail should move quickly to get on board. Sailing is organised by Women on the Water but is of course open to all members and new crew are always welcome. We have coaches on board however some sailing experience is required in order to race. If you’re interested in joining up please message Caitriona O’Brien on 0872327748.

Due to popular demand the NYC Junior team are running both Learning and Racing Feva Clinics in Summer Courses.

The RS Feva is an exciting two person, 3 sail, asymmetric, robust, and colourful boat - suited for the more social, team oriented sailor aged between 11 and 15, boys and girls.

‘Learning’ will be designed to move on from oppies and toppers, ‘Racing’ could be the two handed pathway into RS200s or 29er or any racing boat – see boat info: https://www.rssailing.com/project/rs-feva/

There are 30+ boats in the harbour and plenty of interclub activity in addition to regional events. Numbers are limited but the club have two Fevas for charter.

Courses 1 and 2 are full or nearly full, Course 3, Course 4 and Course 5 will be arranged if there is demand.

If these options might suit your kids or you are interested in Course 3, 4 or 5 please fill up the expression of interest form here
