Lead coach: Ethan Spain
Ethan will be assisted by experienced 29er coaches as needed to keep a ratio of maximum 4 boats per coach.
Dates: 10 Nov, 16-17 Nov, 24 Nov, 30 Nov-1 dec, 8 Dec
Sessions start at 10.00 sharp with the daily briefing and are expected to finish at 16.00

Advanced Instructors Course – March 2025
As part of our commitment to the development of our instructors we are organising an Advanced Instructor Course over two weekends in March 2025.

- Cost âŹ275 for NYC members - âŹ325 for non members
- 9 participants maximum
Junior Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner 2024 | National Yacht Club
The 2024 Junior Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday November 23rd from 6.30-10pm.
All of our junior sailors aged 6+ are invited to join. It will be a super evening and there will be prizes galore and lots of exciting spot prizes too with some fun and games to look forward to as well.
Please book and pay for your ticket in advance to help us estimate numbers. We are not able to accept payment on the night.
The price for the child meal is âŹ18 for a three-course meal (Garlic Bread, Lasagne & Chips and Ice Cream). It also includes a raffle ticket for each child, so they are in with a chance to win some of the amazing prizes.
The price for the adult meal is âŹ26 for a buffet main course (choice of two dishes) and a glass of wine.
Please book early to avoid disappointment. Booking will remain open up until Thursday 21st November or until that time when the event is sold out.

Senior Instructor Wanted for Summer 2025 â Deadline extended to Sunday 5th January 2025 Midnight
The National Yacht Club is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Instructor for Summer 2025.
He / She will lead the team of committed sailing instructors and coaches for our Summer courses or clinics in 2025.
Our Instructors are of the highest quality in terms of professionalism, attitude, technical ability and passion for sailing. Instructors will be responsible for the development of the club's youngest members, a role that is taken extremely seriously by the club.

Halloween mid term Topper Club Clinic 2024
Experienced sailor and top coach Nicole Hemerick will run a Topper Racing clinic over the Halloween mid term. Maximum number of participants will be capped at 8, so do not miss out.
4 days clinic: 30-10, 31-10, 01-11 and 02-11
( please note that Nicole might elect to start the clinic a day early or a day late in case of adverse weather - such decision will be made at least 48hours prior to the start of the clinic and communicated on the NYC Topper group WhatsApp)
Days are expected to start at 10.00 sharp and finish after daily debrief around 16.00. running one or two daily sessions afloat will be at the discretion of the coach.

Optimist Racing and development group Pre-Christmas coaching
Programme Details
Both Development and Racing groups will have their own coach, numbers depending. 6 club sessions over 5 weekends concluding with a NYC winters sprints series involving both groups together. Each days starts rigged and ready at 12.00.
09-11 / 16-11 / 23-11 / 30-12 / 07-12 / 08-12: sprints series
All 6 sessions: 170EUR, 5 sessions (excluding the sprints): 150EUR
Just the sprints (open to all Harbour clubs): 35EUR.
6 Club Optimists are available to charter for an additional fee of âŹ90 for the duration of the programme
