⚓ Join Us for an Exciting Trip to Peel Marina! ⚓

Our Cruising Group invite captains expression of interest in a two night visit to Peel, Isle of Man.

Looking for an unforgettable boating adventure? Come along for a two-night visit to Peel Marina, Isle of Man, filled with stunning coastal views, great company, and a relaxing atmosphere!

We plan to muster outside the lock gates at 12 noon on Saturday the 24th of May.

We will then stay two nights and leave on Monday morning the 26th of May, as soon as the lock gates open, which will be around 12 midday.

It is the responsibility of every skipper to decide what time they should leave Dun Laoghaire and the specific route that they will take.

However, as a number of categories of boats are similar, many may wish to sail in lose company.

At this time, we are only looking for an expression of interest from captains/boat owners, so we can start the initial planning.

It is proposed to have a meeting of those considering or intending to take part, well before the trip to discuss options.

🗓 Dates:

  • Muster: Saturday, 24th May at 12 noon (outside Peel lock gates)
  • Stay: Two nights in Peel Marina
  • Departure: Monday, 26th May at 12 midday (when lock gates open)

No one is supposed to ignore the law…

No one is supposed to ignore the law…

Our beloved sport and hobby is subject to quite a number of rules, policies, bye-laws (applicable to Dun Laoghaire), recommendations etc...
We only know what we know and don't know what we don't know, yet, no one is supposed to 'ignore the law'
We have therefore decided to compile a number of 'resources' and to make them easily accessible to all our sailors (racing or not) on the Club website under the Sailing/Resources menu...
Here you will find:
- The Dun Laoghaire Harbour Bye-Laws
- The 2025 Notices to Mariners
- The Department of Transport Code of Practice for The Safe Operation of Recreational Craft (also available to pick up as a free copy in the Clubhouse)
- The Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028
- The COLREGs
We may add additional resources from time to time and invite ALL our members (from leisure dinghy owners to offshore cruiser-racers) to familiarise themselves with the relevant documents or part of documents listed in the Resources section!
