The NYC has been running Adult Sailing Courses throughout the summer, for Basic Sailing and Improving Skills, on our club J80s and taught by experienced member skippers.
It has been a joyful success for the club – c. 60 participants will have taken part, half of whom are NYC members, supported by 10 skippers. There has been alot of learning and fun on and off the water.
Graduates receive a certificate from the NYC at the Annual Awards night at the end of the season, perhaps a stepping stone to greater things – day skipper, ICC – depending upon ambition.
The final course is in September for 4 weeks, starting 4 Sept on Sundays at 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm and there are a few slots remaining – going on a first come, first served basis. Price for members is only 120 euro.
