Dear Members,
I am writing to you today to inform you of some temporary changes to opening hours for food service at the Club. Nationally, and indeed globally, the hospitality industry is finding it increasingly difficult to recruit skilled workers. We are now at a point where demand for skilled chefs far outstrips supply and has caused major shortages – especially in the Dublin area. Unfortunately, we are not immune from this issue and despite ongoing extensive efforts to recruit we are finding it difficult to add to the kitchen team at the moment.
As a result, we have taken the decision to implement a reduced schedule for food service opening hours which will be reviewed as we add to the team. The decision will ensure we maintain both service standards and quality at the Club, and is necessary to keep demands on our catering team at a sustainable level.
