The ever-popular National Yacht Club table quiz resumes on October 18th next.
Each year, through the winter months, we hold a series of table quizzes every second Wednesday. The quizzes are a very popular and enjoyable social event with questions suited to all tastes and ages. Last year, we had a regular turnout of approximately 100 members and guests that made for entertaining evenings – as long as the Quizmaster plays along!
The quizzes run from 8pm to 10pm with prizes for the winners, and the Brains of the Bay trophy awarded to the team with the best overall performance through the series. The best 7 results during the season count towards the final overall standings.
Teams can consist of up to six persons per team, with registration for the quiz costing only €10 (payable in cash on the night), with some food served to teams during the evening. In December and April, we hold a dinner quiz where participants can dine before the quiz.
New participants are welcome – no qualifications needed! Just turn up on the night and answer the questions! We look forward to seeing you on October 18th.
