Dear Members
Once again, we have had a busy and enjoyable year with numerous events held at the National Yacht Club.
These events have been extremely well supported by all of you and the staff have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and looking after you.
The size and popularity of these events are growing every year, and the staff have risen to the challenge in wonderful fashion and maintained the standards of which we are so proud.
The Staff Christmas Fund & Noahâs Ark Fund gives you an opportunity to show your thanks for the excellent work they do over the whole year.
There will be a Staff Christmas & Noahâs Ark Fund box left in the bar, or use the online form below.
The staff fund & Noahâs Ark is divided and distributed to all the staff by way of a bonus.
May we take this opportunity to thank you all for the support over 2023, and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
From All the staff at the National Yacht Club
With kind regards,
John OâGrady
Club Manager
Quiz update:
The Christmas Quiz dinner was held on Wednesday 13th December with a full dining room and great atmosphere. They say Christmas comes just once a year, but Wizard must wish it could be Christmas every day. Having consumed too much eggnog early on, the current champions dropped seven points in one round, yet were able to reach the top of the tree by the end of the evening â helped clearly by some teams merriment and answering under the influence (Corner Boys!).
Enchantress continued their good form to tie in 2nd place with The Dirty Ruckers, and The Salopettes, followed by T.B.M. and The Corner Boys. The overall leader board shows Enchantress leading the way but keen form students will be eyeing the potential for discards in the future.
We take a break now until the next quiz in 2024 â January 24th at 8pm sharp! The Quizmaster would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teams for their participation and enthusiasm in making it a great quiz season so far, and we wish all teams and their families a very Happy Christmas and a safe New Year. Ă la prochaine.
