Tuesday is a layday and racing resumes with three races planned with an earlier start time of 1100 hrs on Wednesday.

With just over 72 hours to go until the measurement process for the Subaru Ireland Flying Fifteen World Championship 2019 commences, plans for the event are proceeding apace including new pontoon facilities in front of the National Yacht Club at Dun Laoghaire's East Pier writes Cormac Bradley.
The organising committee have had their last pre-event committee meeting, the âon-the-waterâ team led by IRO Jack Roy were in deep discussion last night, our first international competitors have arrived, the containers from Australia are due to arrive shortly, PR material is arriving at the club, protocols and procedures are being checked and generally the excitement level is risingâŠ..only three more sleeps to go!
THRILLING FLYING FIFTEEN WORLDS WILL BE NYC HIGHLIGHT OF 2019
Containers are starting to arrive this week from Hong Kong and Australia with the first participating boats for the 2019 Flying Fifteen World Championships which we will host from September 1- 13th.
It is a great honour of the National Yacht Club to host this Worldâs and is only possible thanks to the generous support and sponsorship of Subaru Cars and others.
The Club hosted the Worldâs in 1992 and 2003 both of which boosted interest in the class and the Nationalâs preeminent position as having one of the biggest and best F15 fleets in the world.
In 2003 Subaru Cars also sponsored the event so next Monthâs Worldâs is the continuation of a long and successful association.
WELL DONE TO NYC âWOMEN AT THE HELMâ COMMITTEE
Susan Spain and her Organising Committee ran a highly successful Irish Sailing Pathfinder âWomen at the Helmâ Regatta at the National Yacht Club at the weekend, which featured 61 boats and 200 sailors from around the country.
The event was the first of its type in Ireland â run under the auspices of Irish Sailing and its President, our own Jack Roy, with the purpose of encouraging women to take the helm.
Our speaker this month is John OâKeeffe a Criminologist who will be speaking on matters relating to criminology and forensic psychology.
